appears to offer greater bass response; cuts down the static.

It looks well made and there are no cork bits coming off. There’s definately some bass and mid range improvement. It’s subtle but I’m sure it’s there.To balance things out a little, I turned up the treble up a touch on my record player.

Really did enhance the midrange and reduced the static clicks to almost zero. Well worth buying.

This mat is great, I did not detect any difference really to the sound but static was much improved.My only comment is the Amazon listing has it as 3mm thick which is incorrect, it is thinner than this (1.5mm according to the Pro-ject site) so bear this in mind as it will have an impact on your VTA.
