This headset is very nice. My favorite feature is the ability to connect it to my phone and receive calls and talk while still listening to my video game.

I've gone through two sets of Astro's, a set of Bose, two sets of Victrix Pro's and finally tried these. Really wish I has tried them first, these things are the best of the lot so far. No noise cancelling is perfect, but these are the best I've tried. All these headsets seem to end up near the same end in regards to sound quality this day and age. I really like the ability to seamlessly switch between wired and wireless. And not dealing with batteries and external wired controls is a plus.Only negative is the location of the volume control get adjusted sometimes when I lean my head back and it rubs against the back of the chair.

OverviewIf you're tired of mediocre audio quality from the likes of Steel Series and/or Turtle Beach, and want a high quality gaming headset that's packed with all the latest features, look no further. By far the best gaming headset I've ever owned/tested/reviewed:•Astro A50 Mandalorian Edition - Mic Issues•RIG 800 - Battery Died•RIG 900 - Bluetooth added for 2x price•Steel Series Arctis 7x - No EQ tuning on Xbox•Steel Series Arctis 9 - No EQ tuning on Xbox•Turtle Beach 600 Gen 2 Max - Uncomfortable•Turtled Beach 700 Gen 2 Max - Uncomfortable + BluetoothComfort: 5/5A lot of reviewers complain about the use of plastic on such a pricey headset, but the weight reduction is crucial for marathon gaming. Not sure what some people are doing with their headset, but basic attention and care will make these last for years. The ear cups may be stiff at first, but once they're broken in, I haven't run into any discomfort or fatigue.Audio + Noise Cancellation + Bluetooth: 5/5The sound coming from this headset is well balanced and tight, but the best part is you can change between the preset EQ from JBL or tune the EQ to whatever you prefer through the app. Also, noise cancellation can be turned on/off and does such a great job with immersion... im not joking when I say I refuse to play any survival horror game with them on... go ahead I dare you.Mic: 5/5Everyone I've played with has said the mic is clear and crisp, emphasizing that it actually sounds like my natural speaking voice and not robotic like in other headsets.

As a Mother who is not using this product, I can't honestly speak on how well these JBL headphones perform, but I can speak on the excitement of my almost 16 yr old son! Prior, he used the STEEL SERIES. I can't remember the exact model but I know they were GREAT quality and lasted for about 6-7 yrs. They became a sad excuse to call headphones, with the rigorous gaming my son does. I wish it was less but as long as his grades are okay.. hey?!Anyway, his 1st remark about these were WOW.. they are so comfortable..and the sound is incredible. He said it might just be better than my Steel Series. I do want to say after a little bit more use he said the headset can start to feel heavy and start to hurt his ears. I don't know if he can adjust them or not.Either way, I think there are too many things to like about this headset, in addition to the incredible price point offered around the holidays. I mean we are not professional gamers over here, lol, so I think these are more than enough to get the job done.
