iFi Audio iPurifier 3 USB Reclocker and Data Signal Filter USB B

I’ve used this little iFi usb iPurifier 3 in two systems to great effect.Just tried it with my chord mojo og, it is plugged into an audioquest usb B- to micro usb adapter that plugs into the mojo, using an iPhone 13 pro max as a source, camera adapter > Pangea Usb cable > iFi > adapter > mojo > linsoul cable > drop noble K10 iem.I was doing a test without the iFi from YouTube, Amazon HD, and a cd rip on my iPhone of a track by Dianne Reeves - Lullaby of Birdland.This is a live studio recording of vocalist jazz combo and orchestra. I use this track for the ability of a system to handle a very busy complex wall of sound with many layers. Most systems sound overwhelmed and a bit congested on the orchestral crescendos.YouTube sounded smeared in the backing orchestra on the crescendos. With the iFi, there was much more clarity, definition, insight, layers were present, individual instruments more present, more musical, more interesting listen.Amazon HD sounded a little flattened but better and more informative in the orchestra. With iFi all the above but more defined, more image density, more resolution, mo better :)With a cd rip on Apple Music, a lot more clarity, a little blocky images, best attempt at the orchestra still could be better. With iFi images more natural, very good density, vocals have just a slight higher frequency emphasis ( I don’t notice this in the main system though, i use a linear power supply on the iFi there which might be the difference ) still more 3d effect, dynamics, greater resolution of images, and the orchestra crescendo don’t seem congested, brass, strings sound better defined!iFi in main system feeding an audiophellio 2 usb-sodif converter with inline lps. This changed the whole character of my dac giving it a more relaxed, less fuzzy images, better frequency response top to bottom, more space around more clearly defined images. An iMac divorced usb cable to the iFi. This is a resolving system so small differences can be noticeable. This sounded like a source upgrade and or dac upgrade. As a tinkerer of audio trying to improve things, this little device was/is impressive.Ive had it since 2021, it is powered up on the computer by the lps constantly, that can be helpful for electronics longevity, not heat cycling that much.These do take time to run in 50+ hours to hear their best performance as they have some better capacitors that need time to optimize.Worth a go in a headphone iem chain, desktop or main system, best going into a dac or dongle from the source.Thanks iFi!!!

I have a small home studio. With the volume up, I was getting a lot of crackling and hiss. This product eliminated it completely. I couldn’t be happier. It did exactly what I was looking for.

With this gizmo added to Mac Mini > Sony DAC chain, the sound is noticeably more dynamic and energized. Not sure if it stays true to the recording but certainly is fun to listen to.

ifi products work. I had a good experience with Ifi Ican Pro amp which was a great combo with my Arya and HEK v2. I tried a few DACs but there was too much treble stopping me from enjoying these amazing headphones fully. Then I got DEnafrips IRIS DDC but it did not make too much difference even with I2s.Then i saw this and ordered on a whim. When i plugged it in DAC, effect was dramatic and immediate. Harshness disappeared, sound became tighter cleaner. I was shocked. After playing with it a few times , i realized that noise from PC was the main problem messing with everything . I was spending 1000s of dollars on new DAC and AMPs for months while this little device could have solved the problem.

I have a very good high end stereo system. I am what some call an audiophile, and the purifier does improve sound quality so I wouldn't hesitate to buy if somebody is wondering.
