Replaced an older Logitech speaker/sub combo. What an amazing difference. The soundstage has completely opened up and is unbelievably better. The speakers were pricey, but well worth it. After a few days I did find that the bass was lacking on the majority of music, so I ended up adding a Yamaha 8 inch powered sub to the speaker set. It's perfect now for what I need.I also have the speakers connected via USB, and there's a trick to have them not power off after 20 minutes of not being used. Can't remember the exact sequence, but a quick Google search will show you how to prevent them from auto powering off.

I'm a professional musician (classical violinist; symphony), and this is really great sound... esp. for the price. Highly recommended. It's also extremely user friendly.A lot of ports.

These speakers are even better than I was expecting--I'm thrilled with my purchase. I use the optical connection with my TV with none of the issues the 1-star reviewer mentions. I also use the BT connection for other devices, and the sound is crisp, full, and wonderful across the board, especially for speakers that are small enough to fit within my bookcases. The sound stage is impressively immersive. Guests have asked where my subwoofer is, since they create such a rich and undistorted bass all on their own. These were worth every penny and I would buy again in a heartbeat.

TLDR: I really questioned spending this kind of money for computer speakers but I honestly couldn't be happier.Moving into an apartment and doing a lot of telework late this year really changed my audiophile habits. I went from no concern for the amount of bass and the level of the volume knob to having to really think about how things sound at lower volumes and how much sound is being put out.I looked at a number of 2 channel computer speakers and finally decided on these. I am so glad I did, they have a great compact footprint, excellent nearfield performance, great input options, and just have so much detail. These are reference speakers so they have tight controlled bass but not boomy bass. They are composed, clear, and really enjoyable to listen to.Ignore the 1 review complaining about a defective unit they haven't made any effort to resolve or isolate. These are excellent speakers that sound great and provide a truly enjoyable listening experience in a variety of listening situations.
