I bought this center channel after purchasing a new audio stand in which my prior speaker wouldn’t fit. The rest of my system is Totem speakers, a much higher end brand. For example, my other front speakers are bookshelf’s that went for around $2500 per pair.I have heard PSB speakers before and always felt they offere good value for a consumer level (as opposed to audiophile) speaker so I thought I’d give it a try as it is primarily for vocals only. This speaker, like all good speakers, need to break in before revealing their true capabilities. Out of the box, they did not sound good at all in comparison to the quality that I have heard from PSB’s in the past, but over 40 or so hours of use, it continued to improve and really open up in frequency range and dynamics and sound pretty good. After a 100 or so hours it seemed to have fully broken in and to my surprise a nearly perfect match to my Totem’s timbre wise. Well enough that as sound moves around the room, one has to have pretty good hearing and be listening really well in order to hear the difference. For basic, on center vocals (the bulk of its material) you really can’t tell any difference. So Koodos PSB. You’ve impressed me yet again. I highly recommend this speaker as it performs well above it’s price point.
