This thing replaced two other 10 inch subwoofers by OSD and it wipes the floor over both of them combined, 14hz is looooooooooow… If you got room for a small cheat in your listening area and the money, you can’t beat it!!!

This is the smallest subwoofer they offer in this line, and still it’s enough to knock your socks off. We had a subwoofer, but never knew what we were missing!!!

Update Mar. 3: I am updating the overall rating to 4 out of 5 stars for the following reasons:1. Warranty Policy - 3/5 stars - While the service techs/customer support were quick to diagnose the issue, the warranty policy had them ship me the woofer kit/component of the subwoofer only and I had to replace the woofer in the sub myself. While not difficult to do, this is not what I had expected from a subwoofer at this price level.2. Customer Support - 4/5 stars - While there were some delays, the folks I worked with were very knowledgeable, and despite some staff shortages on their end, were able to process my warranty claim relatively quickly and with minimal challenges.3. Product Quality - 5/5 - Once I got the sub working, even at -7dB on my a/v receiver and the gain at about 60%, the sub sounds smooth and the bass response is fantastic. Looking forward to fiddling with the gain and settings a bit more to get to the right balance of bass tone/tune and rumble.Update Feb. 26: Based on a push test, this sub has a damaged woofer, so it was actually DOA. Klipsch support worked with me last week to get a replacement sub ordered. I have updated this review rating to 3 based on that interaction, and will update it again once I receive the replacement and can test it out.Original Review: I had super high hopes for this high end sub. However, since day 1, something hasn't sounded right. The sub rumbles when there is no to little music/sound and it's a very rough almost sputtering sound. I thought it was port chuffing, but I don't think that's the case anymore. The only way to avoid the sound is to turn the sub gain lower than the midpoint. I was able to drive a less premium Klipsch sub harder in the same setup. Currently trying to work with Klipsch product support, but they have not been super responsive.

My first Klipsch Sub was awesome so I had to have that sound again. I love Bass in my music and this Sub delivers. Klipsch is the only brand I own for all of my audio needs. You pay for the name but it's worth every cent. While it took a little time to get the sound right with my Denon receiver and it's automatic calibration of the speakers, I got it right. The sound is freaking awesome, powerful, and massive for only 10', this speaker knocks! Listening to Jazz, R&B, to Hip Hop, it can handle it all with ease. My BF thought it was a piece of luggage lol. Even at casual listening levels the bass is always present and their is no distortion at higher levels with the correct settings. My package came is a big box, on time. I've had it for less than a week and I couldn't be happier.

I got this to replace a R12SW thinking that it's an upgrade. Yes and no. Yes in a way that the range and the quality of the sound is better but also No since I feel that the output volume is lower. Interesting enough the RP1000 is bigger and much heavier than the R12SW.I had the gain dial on the R12SW on 5 and +1db on the receiver levels. I have to put the dial on RP-1000SW to 10 and +6db to get it to match the volume on the R12SW. So I really needed to almost max out the 10 to get to what half of the 12 puts out. While the quality of the sound is better, I'm not sure if it's like $500 better. In hindsight and if I had the space, I would have probably been happier with the RP-1200SW.
